Going to the Chapel, Gonna Get Married | Frank & Heather | Pittsburgh's Heinz Chapel
September 1st, The unofficial first day of Autumn for some. Kids are heading back to school and for us in the Northeast; pools and waterparks are coming to a close. It is bittersweet and a goodbye to all of our summer fun, all besides the weather, which was definitely the case with Frank & Heathers wedding day. It was hot. Not just a little hot, but hot, muggy and worst of all, humid! I knew it was going to be a tough day to get through.
... My family has known Heather's family since the beginning of time (at least thats what I always tell my mother when it comes to her and her best friends age -- inside joke) so I already knew what kind of relationship and wedding couple I was dealing with. Heather comes from a place of lots of love and all about family and gatherings, so I knew, whether Frank had come from the same, it was something he had become accustomed to in their time together. It was no surprise that their wedding day would have the same feel and vibe to it as well. I had met with the girls in the bridal suite of Heinz chapel and the tears weren't far behind. Every single person was in awe with how beautiful Heather looked once her dress was buttoned up and jewelry put on, her veil placed and last touches of lip stick before her big reveal to her dad. That was a very moving moment as they are as close as a daddy and daughter can be... (I see this being my very own daughters future)
It was time to head to the chapel and make the Wilsons official. The church was grand and the ceremony grander. It was ordained by a family member which made it that much more special. It was a beautiful short and sweet ceremony and church was a perfect venue for their vows. It was perfect.
Once we finished family photos in the church we headed off onto the party bus which was exactly what they needed to start their celebration off right! It was lots of fun with music and dancing with a few quick stops for gorgeous photos in between. The locations Heather, Frank & I discussed were absolutely perfect for them! It really popped with them and their style. The bridal party was a blast and super cooperative which made it that much better...
The reception was so much fun, from the guests, the venue, the special events to the dancing and partying! It was everything it needed to be. The food was delicious which followed the touching speeches by the best man and matron of honor, and the first dances were tear jerking. The way that Frank & Heather held each other, looked each other in the eyes and fell in love all over again as the smiled at one another, grateful for finally being one/ a full family together. I am more than thankful that Heather & Frank allowed me to be apart of their wedding day...
