Fun-loving, Amazing & Gorgeous Spring Wedding | Chelsea + Jacob | Succop Conservancy

I am always in awe of a wedding who is filled with love and presence of family and family who take me in as one of their own for the day. I have had the pleasure of that a lot this year, as well as years past, but this wedding may take the cake. I was welcomed left and right with open arms and lots of hugs, even being told by "mom" that I am now a special part of their lives and I better expect to have it that way... I am always on board for love.

I met with Chelsea and Jacob last June to go over their wedding day with their Aunt Shelly, who was helping them plan their big day. They all had some amazing ideas and I knew this was going to a big day of celebration. I wasn't going to be meeting with them again until D-day but we talked along the way about what they were hoping to have and how special certain parts of the day meant to each of them. I knew from their interactions together in our meeting, that they were very laid back and a fun couple to be around; they did not disappoint!

On the day of, when I arrived, everyone was in the same location getting ready, just across the hall from each other. This made it very easy of a day for me and seeing each side of personality just through walls was very interesting, yet very similar. Both were having the best times with their friends and sharing stories as well as getting pumped to get out their get married. But before any of that could happen, we had to toast off and also pull a prank on Jacob. BECAUSE -- Well they are hilarious together! From the moment Chelsey's brother put on the wedding dress until the big reveal, I don't think anyone who knew kept it together.

After all of the laughs were had, it was time to get the actual bride, ready. We dressed her up, put on all of her accessories and sent her off for her big reveal. It was such a beautiful moment to witness. They shared laughs, tears, smiles and letters they had written from the heart. I am so honored I had the chance to witness such love.

We met with the rest of the party and headed off to take group photos. I absolutely love this venue for all of the unique photo op locations. Just a simple fallen tree struck by lightening made the best photos with the beautiful background of succop. We had the chance to possibly be the first people to take advantage of their new windmill, which made for very very cool photos against a perfect cloudy blue sky. As well as, of course, having a fun wedding party who made some great photos!

We were creeping up on time to begin the ceremony, so I met with the officiant to go over a special moment we had planned of me taking the first kiss photo from behind them, to get the look of their family and friends as they were announced as husband and wife. It was perfect. The ceremony went off without a hitch, under the weeping willow tree, surrounded by the love of their family and friends. It was so perfect and what any girl could only dream of location wise, to get married. I loved it!

The ceremony was followed by hors d' oeuvres in the house, where some more of the beautiful decor could be found, as well as the best place ever for a cake! I loved how each room featured something else to represent their day and of course, the cookie table. (PS. for future brides, photographers LOVE cookie tables, WINK WINK!) We headed out to take family photos and then followed the time line for a nearly private cake cutting (Yaaaasss) and then to be announced into dinner.

The reception was held in the string light lit pavilion, just yards from the ceremony location, weeping willow and view of the pond. It was gorgeous. They start with a first dance, speeches, a prayer and then a delicious dinner by Medures. It was such a special moment to witness with the speeches, they were very touching and hilarious. You could tell that they meant a lot to the people they come in contact with. I would agree, they are a very special couple. Once dinner was finished, we had the father/daughter & mother/son dances and then made our way back down to the windmill to get some incredible sunset images. I couldn't have asked for better lighting at Succop come sunset. It was golden with blue and orange skies, perfect golden sprays of lighting through the trees and the cloud coverage picture perfect. We had the help of Aunt Shelly who made the veil look picturesque for me during our intimate photo-op,

I was able to get solo photos of both Chelsey and Jacob that impressed me, and I was there. haha.

We followed our photos with reception partying, corn hole, fishing and a bonfire with smores. It was such a great night. We finished with a perfect night photo under the weeping willow, a spotlight dance and cigars near the fire.

I couldn't have asked for a better couple to share the day with and family and friends who welcomed me in like they had known me for more than a day. I loved every minute of their wedding and can't wait for them to see these sneak peeks.

I wish you two nothing but the best Chelsea & Jacob and hope that all of your wishes and dreams come true as you create your own journey now as husband and wife.

Much love,

~ Ashley
